Signs Express (Northampton) believes expertise and working with the community are vital for any business. So it's no wonder they are helping the young footballers of Northampton Town improve with an innovative sponsorship programme which was launched at the home game against Rotherham United last Saturday.
This programme is just one of a number of initiatives that Signs Express (Northampton) are undertaking this season to develop the expertise of young footballers, cricketers and actors across the region. Mark Meadowcroft, Managing Director of Signs Express (Northampton) is in no doubt as to the important role local business can play.
"Supporting the community is not just about our efforts but galvanising fellow-businesses to work together," says Mark. "Although we are sponsoring a Northampton Town youth team and supplying signage for their use, we want to find innovative ways of finding the funding they need."
Signs Express Northampton, who are also sponsoring the club's Under 13 squad, has guaranteed £1,000 worth of funding, but wants to involve other businesses in the programme. In the Executive Restaurant on Saturday, Mark presented Head of Youth, Sean Parrish with a cheque for £1,000. As of today, they will pour 10p in every pound spent by either Northampton Town corporate members or season ticket holders at Signs Express Northampton into the club's Centre of Excellence. The final sponsorship figure will hopefully well exceed the minimum sponsorship guarantee.
