It’s all go for Signs Express (Warrington) as the centre moves to new premises and receives recognition for reaching the milestone of £5m invoiced sales.
The Warrington-based signage specialist had outgrown its original premises where the centre has resided since husband and wife team Alvin and Greta Morris and their son David opened the doors in 1995. Now situated at Kingsland Grange in Woolston, Signs Express (Warrington) is one of a handful of centres which have moved to new premises in the past few years to cope with growing work loads and customer demands.
Having found the land and designed the layout themselves, the new purpose built unit extends across 6100 square feet and includes a large heated vehicle bay able to accommodate four vans; an open plan workshop and a separate print/laminating room; an upper level dedicated to graphic design and administration; ample parking for 12 vehicles as well as disabled access. As part of the development plan, the centre is also equipped with a new server, the latest digital telephone system and specialist lighting.
The expansion gives the already successful centre the capacity to cater for larger projects and therefore continue its natural progression as a leading sign maker in the area.
Franchisee Alvin Morris at Signs Express (Warrington) commented on the move: “We’d reached a point where we had outgrown our work space so to be able to move the business on to the next level we needed to think bigger to ensure we could meet and achieve our customer demands. It all goes back to the saying ‘you have to spend money to make money’, and that’s what we did. There was actually land available not far from our original unit which would give us the space and tools to cope with increasing work loads as well as larger-scale orders. It seemed ideal and gives us the opportunity to move the business forward and increase our customer base.”
As well as expanding the business, Signs Express (Warrington) has also been recognised as one of the group’s long standing franchisees to reach the milestone of achieving £5m invoiced sales. The award has also been presented to Signs Express’ first franchisees Ken Bevis and Nick Dawes from Grimsby and Ipswich respectively; Alan Parkinson who operates in Central Lancashire; Geoff & Lee Eaton in Manchester South and Neil & Carol Fraser, the previous owners at Signs Express (Glasgow).
As part of the UK and Ireland’s leading signs and graphics company, Signs Express (Warrington) provides a complete design, manufacture and installation service for all forms of signage including interior/exterior signs, vehicle graphics, exhibition and display products, window graphics and health and safety signage for businesses in Warrington and surrounding areas.
