Ten walkers including Laura Spridgens from our office in Derby, took on a 3 peaks challenge to raise money for Leukaemia & Lymphomia Research. The challenge took place on Saturday 15th June 2013. The team conquered Ben Nevis, Scarfell Pike and Snowdon.
They were marking the 25th anniversary of the death of Laura’s cousin Oliver Taylor, who lost his battle against Leukaemia at the age of 14.
Annie Taylor (Oliver’s mum) sent the following letter of Thanks to Steve Jarvis (Director of Signs Express Derby)
“I just wanted to thank you so much for sponsoring Taylor’s Troupe 3 peak challenge with the signs and banners and also for arranging for the printing on the t-shirts through Charterhouse. My partner and I went to meet the team at the bottom of Snowdon when they completed the challenge. I was able to spot the minibus straight away in the Pen-y-Pas car park with the signs on – I thought they were really effective.”
“People were also commenting on the signs and recognised the team as they saw them in their red t-shirts on the mountains. It was great to see the photographs of them holding the banners at the top of each peak. They all did so well to raise over £5000 for the charity is a fantastic tribute to their efforts. I do believe that the publicity in the press, on the radio and on the minibus and t-shirts was a great way to promote their fundraising and I am grateful for all the support they received.”
