Signs Express (Gateshead) centre owner Malcolm Lant will be making his way to the top of Ben Nevis this weekend as part of a sponsorship drive for the Ben Elliott's Footsteps appeal.
The Ben Nevis walk is just one of a number of events organised on behalf of the Ben Elliot's Footsteps appeal in the past 12 months, raising a staggering £32,500.
Ben Elliott is a 5 year old who suffers with Cerebral Palsy and £40,000 is required to send him for a life changing operation in America where it is hoped he will be able to learn to walk.
Malcolm and his sign making team have supported the appeal in a number of ways, not least in providing a wide range of graphics and posters for the numerous events which have been organised including a white collar boxing night, bike rides, beauty treatments and many other auctions and fund-raising events.
Malcolm said, "We are so close to the target of £40,000 which is a great achievement. It gives Ben a fantastic opportunity to have a chance to be a mobile little boy and I have been delighted to be involved throughout the year. I can't wait to walk up Ben Nevis!"
