Leading Peterborough based signs and graphics company, Signs Express, has been named as a finalist in the Sign Excellence awards for their recent vehicle graphics project on behalf of security company Concept Smoke Screen.
The Peterborough franchise was selected as a finalist for the prestigious Sign Excellence awards organised by Signs Express head office, beating the other 75 franchisees across the UK & Ireland in the field of vehicle graphics. Judging the event were British Signs & Graphics Association director Dave Catanach and industry magazine Sign Directions editor Val Hirst.
The Swineshead based security firm looked to Signs Express to provide exciting new vehicle graphics to their fleet through their marketing agency, Rusty Monkey. The experienced sign company were more than willing to help recreate illustrative effect of their core security smoke screen product onto their vehicles.
Marketing assistant Dylan Hollick commented on the graphics: “On the recommendation of Rusty Monkey, we recently commissioned Sign Express in Peterborough to implement the new branding across our fleet of engineers’ vehicles. We successfully achieved this logistically difficult task thanks to the quality of service we received. The liveries themselves look fantastic, we even had our company track day car done, the Lotus Exige.”

Anne Hitch is no stranger to winning awards, being recognised as an exceptional franchisee from the British Franchise Association’s annual awards in 2009, which includes franchises from such diverse businesses as McDonalds and cleaning franchise Molly Maid.
The six vehicles including three Vauxhall Vivaro vans, a transit and a VW Caddy, involved a specialist approach to both the design and the application process.
Peterborough franchisee Anne Hitch said, “We are delighted to be named in the vehicle graphics awards. The project was a challenge but most importantly the customer was pleased with the end result. By layering the vinyls we were able to add a whole new dimension to the graphics to help draw extra attention to the vans.”
