Reflecting on 2011, local business owners Dave & Kim Nurse have many reasons to smile this Christmas.
Running local sign company Signs Express (Leeds), the husband and wife partnership have been able to avoid the negative impacts of the recession with a number of new initiatives during 2011 and have also supported the local community through activities in aid of local charity Cash for Kids.
Owner Dave Nurse said, “We have been delighted to support the Cash for Kids charity with vehicle graphics, digitally printed graphics for charity collections. We are working with Radio Aire to make their annual Cash for Kids Christmas Appeal more successful than ever with high impact vehicle graphics to really get the message across in addition to other promotional graphics.”
“I’d like to say huge thank you to Dave and his team at Signs Express for their amazing ongoing support and partnership.” expressed Katy Winterschladen, Charity Manager for Radio Aire & Magic 828’s Cash for Kids Appeal. “Brand awareness is so important for Cash for Kids being transparent with who we are and what we do. I look forward to working with Signs Express in 2012 and making a difference to even more local needy children.”
This year has also seen Signs Express (Leeds) invest in new machinery, including the HP Designjet L25500 wide format digital printer, which is recognised as one of the most versatile and eco-friendly solutions for wide-format signage and graphics.
Dave said, “Our new printer uses water-based inks that combine the best characteristics of low and eco-solvent inks with the benefits of water-based inks (high quality, odourless prints, reduced environmental impact). This makes it ideal for sensitive indoor areas like hospitals, schools and restaurants. They emit virtually no VOCs, no ozone and no hazardous air pollutants and meet the GREENGUARD Children & Schools standard for low emitting products. The HP printer provides our clients with an environmentally friendly solution to their sign and graphics requirements as well as offering a combination of high quality and durability.”
He continued, “We are delighted with our printers performance and along with our new Rolls Roller, we have been able to exceed customer expectations in turn around times which will also help increase efficiency within the centre and ultimately help us to grow during 2012.”
Signs Express (Leeds) were also delighted to be recognised for their work in the recent Sign Excellence Awards, winning two awards for best individual sign and best multiple sign project. Judged by the British Sign & Graphics Association and industry magazine Sign Directions, the awards showcased the very best of projects completed across the Signs Express group of over 75 production centres.
