Exeter City’s hugely popular bar behind the back of the Flybe Stand has been given a revamp thanks to Tiverton-based design agency Oxygen Creative and the Signs Express team in Exeter.
Oxygen visualised the bar area against a brief from the club then created the graphics, which were then turned into practical display materials and put in place by Signs Express.
Steve Lodge from Oxygen said: “We took inspiration for the design from the recent Smirnoff TV and online advertising which involved black and white imagery of the cityscapes in European capitals.
“We sourced photography of the iconic Square in Moscow for the bar area, stylising it to reflect the Russian influence in the Smirnoff brand. Their visuals all received approval from various people in the Diageo business across Europe.
“It’s great fun to think that, on these cold winter afternoons, football fans can enjoy a piece of the Moscow city life right here in Exeter. But I have to stay we stayed teetotal throughout the design process!”
Nick Baxter-Sibley of Signs Express added: “Signs Express (Exeter) were delighted to turn Oxygen’s design into reality, using high-quality print & panels to create robust & durable graphic panels, that do the full justice to the impact of the design created.”
“The most pleasing thing is that an idea has been turned into enjoyable reality through team work, good will, genuine skills and supportive business partners,” said Bruce Henderson at the football club.
“The club is really proud of what has been achieved by everyone and we thank them all.”
