Leading signs and graphics supplier, Signs Express (Nottingham) has completed a range of signage for outdoor playground supplier Proludic.
Proludic are an international manufacturer of outdoor playground equipment. For over 20 years they have helped to provide play and sports areas for children of all ages throughout England and Wales. They have worked in partnership with Olympians Steve Backley and Roger Black to develop the Sports Legacy Zone which uses smart phone technology to access 'Virtual Coach' challenge videos.
The concept combines play and sport opportunities with the benefits of coaching people of all ages and abilities. The goal is to deliver the sports legacy zone message across the country with a view to getting communities more active, to come closer together and be healthier. There are 7 zones combining 28 different sporting activities which can accommodate up to 155 users at any one time.
The clients wanted a durable solution that would be as anti-vandal resistant as possible due to the use of QR codes which need to be scanned by the user’s camera-phone.
Kevin Causer, Marketing Executive at Proludic commented; “Signs Express worked with us to deliver the best solution possible that so far has stood the test of time in a historically troublesome area. We also designed an additional sign to welcome visitors and inform them how to use the signs scattered around the play area. Even though we had to change the artwork just as the sign had been manufactured, Signs Express made the changes with minimal fuss.
Kevin continued; “We were also given the opportunity to visit their premises which helped to develop a relationship. We have used Signs Express a number of times since and will continue to do so in the future.”
