Local sign specialist Signs Express (Exeter) receives national recognition reaching the finals of the Ambassador Award at this year’s Signs Express Convention.
Nick & Marion Baxter-Sibley, centre owners at Signs Express (Exeter) reached the finals of the Ambassador Award category as a result of Nick’s helpful approach and positive and efficient methods to aid the rest of the network. Up against two other successful franchisees, Nick faced the likes of Signs Express (Milton Keynes) and Signs Express (N. & N.E. Lincs), with Stuart Harrison at Signs Express (Milton Keynes) named the overall winner.
The awards ceremony was the final event to take place at this year’s Signs Express convention which marked the 20th anniversary for the group. The elegant awards ceremony gave all Signs Express centres the opportunity to be judged as individual franchises for what they have accomplished over their own years of trading and to put forward their work for the best sign and vehicle categories. Competition was tough with a number of worthy winners in the mix but the final decision rested with the Signs Express directors with exception to the Ambassador Award which was voted for by the network.
Based in Marsh Barton, Signs Express (Exeter) has been part of the Signs Express network since 1995. Nick commented on the award announcement: “We were delighted to be recognised as a finalist in the Ambassador Award category. It’s an excellent achievement not just for myself and Marion but also for the team as a whole. We’ve worked hard to up our game and adjust for the current economic downturn and we’re pleased that the effort is paying off.”
Signs Express managing director Craig Brown said: “The Ambassador Award was decided by the whole network rather than through a judging process. We wanted to get a feel for who the group felt had been the most helpful over the course of the last couple of years. We received a number of nominations and were delighted that Nick and Marion reached the finals.”
Taking place every two years, the convention sees a number of members of the group from all over the UK and Ireland visit the outskirts of Norwich at the De Vere Dunston Hall hotel, and this year was no exception. Spread over the course of two days, franchisees were able to hear the latest in developments across the network as well as new business opportunities available to increase turnover and enhance their customer base.
