Signs Express (Lancaster) is once again sponsoring British Touring Car Championship driver Tom Boardman and are pleased to report he crossed the line in a podium position after the final race of the day at Thruxton.
Starting from pole position it was a race packed full of both excitement and anticipation, with Tom proving he’s got what it takes to be a top touring car driver.
Signs Express (Lancaster) have long been supporters of championship driver and local lad Tom and are delighted his season is starting so well. Thomas Somers, centre owner of Signs Express said: “we are so pleased to be able to supply the vehicle graphics for Tom and his team Special Tuning Racing again this season. Vehicle graphics are a fast and effective promotional tool as well as an integral part of all motor racing, instantly defining a team on the circuit and so we were only too happy to help.
His 45ft race trailer certainly caused a lot of attention when parked outside our centre at the beginning of the season when we applied this year’s livery. On the car the graphics use a mixture of digitally printed vinyl with overlaminate, traditional cut vinyl and one way vision film on the windscreen. The graphics have to be very durable due to the ‘contact’ nature of the sport and the amount of polishing the car receives. It’s not unknown for the bumpers at the end of a race to only be held together by our stickers! ”
Currently in 10th position in the championship, the next race of the season sees Tom heading back to his home circuit, Oulton Park in Cheshire on Sunday 5th June.
