Signs Express…will do anything ‘For charity mate!’

Managing Director Craig Brown and Lindsey Beard with the cheque
01 February 2010
For the first time, in 2009 Signs Express nominated a charity they were going to support throughout the year and through nominations and staff voting, the chosen charity was Bliss. A goal of £1000 was set as a fundraising target but Signs Express managing director Craig Brown was delighted to present a cheque for over £1500.
Bliss is UK based charity working to help premature and sick babies, whilst also providing vital support for families, funding cutting-edge research and campaigning for improved hospital resources.
Various fundraising activities were organised including; dress down Friday’s, story book characters and school days themed fancy dress days and a charity raffle at their group convention. The charity was put forward by Lindsey Beard, Accounts Supervisor for Signs Express and chief organiser of the fundraising events.
Such is the support for the charity in the head office team that they have decided to continue fundraising for the cause during 2010 and hope to raise another £1500 through a host of events. The first being the ‘cake a difference’ campaign 8-14th February where all staff will make and sell cakes for the charity to help celebrate Valentines Day.
