Title: Junior Sign Maker

Location: Signs Express Gloucester

Working Hours: 8:30am-5pm

 

Description: This role is for a sign maker with some industry skills and previous experience to work within a busy signage and graphics production department for one of the UKs largest, most successful sign companies.

 

Key responsibilities:

• Understanding briefs accurately with a good understanding of different signage and manufacturing techniques
• Producing artwork and visuals to scale
• Printing, cutting and laminating vinyl
• Applying graphics to a variety of substrates, including panels, fascias, windows and vehicles
• Helping with surveys and accurately recording information for design and quoting purposes
• Assisting fascia and post mounted installations using power tools and access equipment

 

Skills (essential):

• Good signage product knowledge across a wide range of materials and processes
• A minimum of 2 years signage manufacturing and installation experience using printers, plotters and laminators
• Design software knowledge (Illustrator, Corel).
• Good communicator, both written and verbal
• Process driven with great attention to detail
• Continual Improvement mindset
• An understanding of H & S requirements
• Well organised, reliable, resilient and able to work calmly under pressure alone or as part of a team

• Professional, flexible, enthusiastic with a strong work ethic

• Driving licence essential

 

Skills (preferable):

• IPAF/PASMA/CSCS accreditations desirable
• Vehicle wrapping
