Steve Taro, Production Manager at Signs Express (Farnborough) recently braved the elements to complete a PASMA course for the safe use of mobile towers to work at height - on a very cold January day!
PASMA are the leading trade association for the mobile access tower industry, representing the interests of manufacturers, suppliers and users of mobile towers. They provide, oversee and govern the industry standard training scheme for the safe use of such equipment. Working at height can raise many serious health and safety concerns for both employers and employees not to mention customers who need the work completed on their premise with the reassurance correct safety procedures will be adhered to. The Work At Height Regulations Act 2005 specifies best practice legislations, but for many, the PASMA certificate and ID card are the only acceptable proof of competence to work at height safely and many companies refuse to use contractors without the qualification. We're delighted that Steve completed the PASMA course; it's another rung on our ladder – which Steve can now climb safely!
