Junior Sign Maker and Installer - Cardiff
We are looking for a Junior Sign Maker and Installer to join our friendly, professional team at Signs Express (Cardiff) to help us create and install a wide and exciting range of signage.
The perfect candidate will have a positive, can-do attitude, be willing to learn, have great attention to detail, be self-motivated and a good team player. This job would suit someone who likes to work in a creative environment and be able to see a job through from start to finish.
- Location: Signs Express (Cardiff)
- Salary: From £25,400 per year dependent on experience
- Working Hours: Full-time position, Monday-Friday
- Travel: A full, clean driving licence and own transport is essential for local travel

Duties Include:
- You will be involved in all production and installation aspects of the business offering a varied role.
- Training will be provided on the job and through our online Learning Management System.
- Training provided for all sign making, using a wide range of substrates including ACM, Acrylics, Metals, Wood, Vinyl and Foam PVC, etc.
- You will have the capability to handle heavy and awkward shape materials and be confident working at height off ladders, scaffolding and access lifts.
- Training to operate and maintain large format printers, vinyl cutters and laminators.
- Ability to handle power tools and various machinery under instruction.
- Installation on-site at various locations alongside our experienced members of staff.
- Hands-on training of vehicle, window and wall graphic installations.
- Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements are understood and followed to the highest level (training provided).
- Follow all company health and safety procedures to ensure all signage solutions are fitted safely and securely.
- Training to provide good working knowledge of design and RIP software.
- Providing outstanding customer service to our clients and others at all times.
