Signage Technician Apprentice – Scarborough

Location: Signs Express Scarborough

Salary: Annual apprenticeship salary of £13,312.00

Working Hours: Monday - Thursday, between 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday between 7.30am - 4.00pm. Total hours per week: 40.0

Expected duration of apprenticeship: 24 months

Possible start date: 24 Jun 2024

We are looking for a Signage Technician Apprentice to join our friendly team and learn all aspects of sign making.

About the Role:

As a Signage Technician Apprentice, you’ll learn the ropes of the trade from the best in the business. From design to installation, you’ll be immersed in the world of signage, gaining valuable skills and experience every step of the way.

 

What you will do in your working day:

  • Fabricating all types of signage - Acrylic, ACM, illuminated lettering and sign trays to name but a few.
  • Basic wiring and electrical work for LED illuminated signage.
  • Sign fitting and installation when necessary, including the fitting of various signs, vehicle graphics and window graphics both internally and externally.
  • Vinyl application to various substrates including contour cut vinyl and vehicle wraps.
  • Training to using modern printers for both vinyl printing and flatbed printing.
  • Operating CNC router machine to cut various materials for signage production.

 

The training you will be provided:

  • Signage Technician Apprenticeship Standard Level 3.
  • Training is delivered virtually through Microsoft teams once per week.
  • You will also undertake Functional Skills in maths and English, if required.
