The Cobblers have only lost once in the league in six months – in spite of almost going out of business in November with the club bleeding money because of half-completed stand development that was costing money but providing no income, police raids on the club offices, players and backroom staff being unpaid for a month and the former owner of the club being arrested. Under new ownership and now financially stable, the Cobblers are 14 points clear at the top of the table with six games to play; and while they will probably be mathematically promoted against Bristol Rovers in Saturday, if it doesn't happen then, it will very soon. The League title will also almost certainly be confirmed very soon.
