Taking care of Mears’ 10,000 strong fleet

Signs Express have been working with Mears for over 10 years as a strategic partner delivering signage and graphics solutions across their portfolio of vehicles, homes and sites.

The brief

Mears is one of the UK’s leading service providers to both the public and private sector with over 12,000 employees, working with clients to help develop, fund and implement their placemaking ambitions. Their care teams deliver approximately 180,000 hours of care and support each week on behalf of 127 local authorities and a number of Clinical Commissioning Groups, and provide care services to an increasing number of people who fund their own care.

Mears wanted a partner to work with them across the UK, providing a single point of contact to manage and deliver signage and graphics quickly whilst maintain brand consistency.

Our Solution

As an approved supplier for Mears vehicles and their partners, we have provided a complete solution for new vehicles – applying graphics to up to 1000 vehicles per year, including the branding of new vehicles, replacement branding on existing vehicles and accident management service. Working in collaboration with their fleet management company, Signs Express coordinate, control and deliver vehicle graphic and branding installations for Mears and partners across the UK. Signs Express utilise their full national network of centres to perform Mears work allowing for quick turnarounds anywhere in the country, all coordinated centrally.

I contacted Signs express and they talked me through a few different price options and discussed my requirements. they pointed out that part of what I wanted would require the use of vinal wrap and explained why. they then sent me some ideas of what my van would look like. I requested to change a couple of bits and very quickly we had designed exactly what I was looking for. I proof checked it and got booked in for fitting. I dropped the van off in the morning and it was ready for collection in the afternoon, looking exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend signs express, the whole process was excellent.
