Signs Express (Macclesfield) help guests navigate the Marriott Delta Hotel
Signs Express (Macclesfield) were approached by existing customer Gareth Marsh, General Manager of Marriott Delta Hotels in Liverpool and Manchester Airport, to provide a wayfinding signage solution for guests arriving and locating their rooms.
After an extensive survey of the hotel, Signs Express found there was a problem with how guests were navigating the hotel. Using the PDF floor plans provided by the hotel, we were able to devise a plan to create and install several wayfinding signs to solve the issue.
The signs we provided included ‘you are here’ and floor plan signs placed at strategic points to improve the experience of arriving and exploring guests. As a busy hotel linked directly to Manchester airport, the new wayfinding signs had an immediate impact as soon as they were fitted – guests began using them straight away without any prompting, which quickly tested and affirmed the positions we chose as effective!
Due to the large amount of wayfinding signs already in place in the hotel, it was a challenge to create new ones that exactly matched their colour, texture, finish, and font. However, thanks to the knowledge and experience of the Macclesfield team, the end-result blends perfectly with the pre-existing signage.
