The one by five-metre reception welcome sign was constructed from MDF, painted to complement the hostel colour scheme. The background text was routed into the panel with different heights being routed to different depths, and the welcome text was pushed through opal acrylic and backed with an LED light sheet to provide halo illumination, followed by the letters being faced in painted MDF.
