Ship-Shape!

Serco Northlink Ferries provide ferry services from Aberdeen to the Northern Isles and in conjunction with Weber Shandwick Design, Signs Express (Aberdeen) were asked to produce signage for a photo-shoot in order to promote the new branding. The re-brand comes as part of NorthLink Ferries campaign to encourage more people to visit the Northern Isles. The new branding includes the striking figure 'Magnus', a Viking whom not only reflects the routes of the company but is also dynamic, striking, strong and powerful with a undertone of an accomplished seafarer, hopefully helping to encourage people to jump on ship and explore the Northern Isles. NorthLink Ferries have implemented these changes throughout the Ferries interiors as well, with the children's' play area being re-named 'The Viking's Den', with a hope that hope lovable Viking Magnus will become a well-known local figure. Signs Express (Aberdeen) was asked to produce a five foot high, free standing, version of 'Magnus' for a photo-shoot to launch their new brand. 'Magnus' was made from aluminium composite with a matt laminate print and supplied with removable wooden supports so he can be stowed on-board Signs Express (Aberdeen) provides a complete design, manufacture and installation service for all signage, including; interior and exterior signs, vehicle graphics, exhibition and display products and window graphics.
