Rowcroft Hospice, Toucan & Signs Express Collaboration

When Rowcroft Hospice unveiled a new brand identity created by Toucan Graphic Design, they needed a signage partner who could make that identity real—on buildings, vehicles, and across multiple sites.

The Brief

Rowcroft’s new look had been built around key values: high quality, people-focused, caring, bold, and innovative. Toucan’s team provided the creative direction; we handled how it would work in the real world—materials, finishes, and installation planning.

From reception signage to exterior panels and shopfronts, every piece had to represent the warmth and optimism of the new identity.

Production and Installation

The challenge? Everything had to be printed, delivered, and installed in a single weekend so the hospice could reopen fully branded on Monday morning.

Our in-house team produced a full range of interior and exterior signs, wayfinding systems, and vehicle liveries.

We used durable aluminium panels, printed vinyl graphics, and precision-cut lettering, all matched to Rowcroft’s new colour palette.

Because the schedule was tight, production ran in shifts through the week. Installation started Friday evening and ran through to Sunday night—carefully coordinated so patients, staff, and visitors were never disrupted.

I contacted Signs express and they talked me through a few different price options and discussed my requirements. they pointed out that part of what I wanted would require the use of vinal wrap and explained why. they then sent me some ideas of what my van would look like. I requested to change a couple of bits and very quickly we had designed exactly what I was looking for. I proof checked it and got booked in for fitting. I dropped the van off in the morning and it was ready for collection in the afternoon, looking exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend signs express, the whole process was excellent.
