We had one weekend to complete the project and had to remove all of the old signs and graphics, carefully transport the new signage to the premises and install the new range. Overall, we printed, created and delivered flex face signs, post and panel signs, window graphics, Health and Safety signs and a lightbox. We used a combination of aluminium composite, Foamex, digitally printed vinyl and frosted window graphics to complete the project.
Due to the short timeframe this task required extensive project management, to begin we undertook a site survey and an in-depth consultation meeting with the key project managers at GE Aviation. José Ferreira, our Centre Manager at Signs Express (Southampton), worked on detailed plans to ensure the project ran smoothly, including coordinating a team of eight onsite fitters. Each project member had a designated area to install signage and this was key in completing the work within our tight timeframe.
This project was a clear example of how important teamwork is when completing large scale projects. Without the integration, trust and understanding between all members of the team this project may not have been as successful as it was.
Mark Kendall, Managing Director at Signs Express (Southampton) had this to say:
“We were delighted to be given the opportunity to work with Hamble Aerostructures on their signage rebrand project. The challenge for us was to quote, produce and install all signage including the removal of existing signs within three weeks.
The team responded magnificently. Working extra hours, finding solutions and having a fantastic can-do attitude throughout the whole project. Over 600 signs were successfully installed over the weekend of 31st Jan – 2nd Feb by the team.
We can now go forward with the confidence that we can complete projects of this scale efficiently and to a very high standard.”
