As 2018 is the centenary of World War 1, the idea was to mark this important milestone with a fitting and thought-provoking display. Sally's creative idea utilises vinyl window graphics creating an immersive tunnel of eighty-one poppies in the main entrance to Harlow's civic centre within the Water Gardens. The poppies serve as a tribute to the men and women from Harlow who lost their lives in the Great War and encourage visitors to reflect on this as they enter the Harlow Council building. Business owner, Paul Heywood commented, "Having worked with the Harlow Arts Trust on many previous occasions we were especially pleased to be asked to support this project. The overall effect of the window display of poppies definitely makes you take a few minutes to think about those who lost their lives." The full artwork can be seen in full until 5th November, with one side remaining in situ until 12th November.
