When Budget Insurance announced its rebrand to The BGL Group, the team needed every piece of signage across three sites updated—inside and out—ready for launch day. With a strict deadline and a large mix of signage types, everything had to be designed, produced, and installed to match the new brand identity without disrupting daily operations.

Client needs

The brief covered three separate premises, each requiring a full refresh of both exterior and interior signage. Timing was critical, the old branding had to disappear overnight, replaced by a clean, consistent look that reflected BGL’s new image.

The biggest challenge was the timing. The entire rebrand had to go live simultaneously across all sites. Our installers worked to a tight schedule to make sure the transition was seamless, with no outdated logos visible once the switch happened.

What we did

Our team at Signs Express (Peterborough) manufactured and installed:

- Three external building signs, created as fully laminated aluminium trays with built-up lettering.

- Reception and internal signs, using full-colour prints and vinyl-applied acrylic panels.

- Window and door graphics with frosted window film, giving privacy and a sleek finish.

- A striking external monolith featuring an engraved metal plaque.

- A range of road, directional, and panel-and-post signs to guide visitors around each site.

Every sign was fabricated and installed to the same high standard to ensure complete consistency across locations.

We needed complete new signage when we changed our name from the Budget Group. From large display signs on the exterior of the building to updated logos on interior notices, it was vital that the new corporate identity replaced its predecessor without exception, on one single date. Outcome

Rebrands are always exciting but can be stressful for clients, especially when everything has to change at once. Projects like this are where good planning, clear communication, and teamwork really pay off. We were proud to help BGL Group launch its new identity with confidence.
