Mayura Joshi recently became the Owner of Signs Express (Colchester & Chelmsford), celebrating the opening of her centre at the end of 2018. Workers in the signage industry are predominantly male, so the introduction of another female business owner to the Signs Express network perfectly complements the 2019 International Women’s Day theme, Balance for Better. Graduating from the Indian Institute of Planning and Management in New Delhi with a Masters degree in Management (the equivalent of a British MBA), Mayura began her career in Business Development for a web solutions firm. This gave rise to an 11-year career in corporate management consulting and in-house project work. Since moving to the UK, Mayura has also worked as a contracted HR Project Manager and run an online retail business at the same time as raising two children. Ready to take on a new entrepreneurial opportunity, Mayura came to Signs Express excited at the prospect of owning a franchise and being her own boss.
