Keeping Camfaud’s working fleet visible, compliant and ready for site
Camfaud’s vehicles are a familiar sight on construction sites across the UK. From specialist concrete pumps to the service vehicles that keep teams moving, every vehicle has a job to do before it even reaches the site.
It needs to look professional. It needs to carry the Camfaud brand clearly. And, where required, it needs the right reflective markings to support visibility in busy working environments.
That is why Camfaud continues to work with Signs Express Harlow for its vehicle graphics. The relationship has developed over time, built on practical advice, responsive service and a good understanding of how Camfaud’s fleet operates day to day.
Often, Camfaud will contact the Harlow team at least a couple of days before a vehicle is needed. That gives the team a tight but manageable window to visit Camfaud, survey the vehicle, prepare the graphics and return to fit them.
Because each vehicle is different, the work cannot be treated as a straight repeat order. Every van or pump is checked, measured and planned properly, so the finished graphics suit the vehicle and how it will be used.

A fleet that works hard across the UK
Camfaud is a specialist concrete pumping business with vehicles operating nationwide. Its fleet includes concrete pumps as well as standard service vehicles, such as Ford Transit Customs.
These vehicles spend their working lives moving between sites, supporting crews and representing the Camfaud name wherever they go. For that reason, the graphics need to be more than decorative. They need to be clear and suitable for vehicles that are regularly out on the road and on active construction sites.
The job in hand
For the Transit Custom shown in this project, Camfaud needed a graphics package that combined branding with safety-led visibility.
Our team supplied and fitted side vehicle graphics carrying the Camfaud branding, along with Chapter 8 compliant markings to the rear and sides of the van. This included a rear chevron kit and high-grade chevron tape along the sides.
The side graphics were produced using a 5-7-year vinyl, making them a suitable choice for a service vehicle where the branding is expected to stay in place for longer.
There is also a wider fleet requirement. Camfaud’s concrete pump graphics are replaced semi-regularly, so we are able to advise on a more cost-effective specification for those vehicles while still keeping the fleet looking consistent and professional.
Why the details matter
The main challenge is that Camfaud’s vehicles are varied, and they are not always available for long.
A concrete pump is very different from a Transit Custom. Even service vehicles can have different panels, fittings and usable application areas. Before anything is produced, our team visits Camfaud to survey and measure the vehicle properly.
That stage matters. It helps the team check how the graphics will sit on the bodywork, where the reflective markings need to be positioned, and whether any adjustments are needed before production begins.
With short timescales, the process has to be efficient. A rushed survey can lead to problems later, so the team takes the time to get the basics right before the graphics are prepared.
Practical advice, not a one-size-fits-all answer
Signs Express Harlow’s role is to recommend the right approach for each vehicle.
For the Transit Custom, that meant longer-term vinyl for the branded side graphics, plus Chapter 8-compliant markings for the rear and sides. For concrete pumps, where graphics are replaced more often, it can mean choosing a more cost-effective option that still gives Camfaud the right finish.
That judgement is important. It means Camfaud does not have to overspecify every vehicle, but also does not compromise where durability, visibility or compliance are needed.
It is the kind of advice that comes from working with the same customer over time. The Harlow team understands the fleet, the pace of the work and the need to keep vehicles available for site use.
From survey to fitting
The process starts at Camfaud, where Signs Express Harlow surveys the vehicle and takes the measurements needed for production.
From there, the team prepares the graphics at the Harlow production centre. For this Transit Custom, that included the Camfaud side branding, the rear Chapter 8 chevron kit and the side reflective tape.
A few days later, the team returns to fit the completed graphics. The branding is applied to the side panels, with the rear and side markings installed to support visibility and compliance.
From Camfaud’s point of view, the process is straightforward. The vehicle is checked, the graphics are made, and the team comes back to fit everything properly.
Ready to go back out on the road
The completed Transit Custom looks smart, visible and ready for work.
The Camfaud branding is clear on the side of the van, while the rear chevrons and side markings help support visibility on the road and around construction sites.
For Camfaud, the bigger benefit is having a signage partner that understands what is needed without the process becoming complicated. Longer-term service vehicles can be fitted with durable vinyl and high-grade Chapter 8 markings, while concrete pump graphics can be specified with regular replacement in mind.
It is a dependable working partnership, which matters when vehicles need to be out on site rather than sitting around waiting for graphics.
