Worcester based signs and graphics specialists, Signs Express Worcester, were recently presented with a finalist award for Best Exterior Sign at the national sign company’s annual awards presentation. The local sign company was shortlisted for Best Exterior Sign for their work on behalf of national gym chain, 24/7 gym, after they designed and installed signage to a four-storey building in Gosforth, Liverpool as part of their national contract with the leisure chain. This included 170 square metres of window graphics over 3 floors and 9 windows. External gym entrance graphics were also applied to the outside of the main entrance as well as replacing existing signage to incorporate the new branding. The overall project was completed over four days and Managing Director Phil Shellam said, “We really enjoyed bringing the designs to life and felt that the visual effect created at this site is stunning and draws people in. The simple design and the lighting during darkness enhances the effect, so much so it has become iconic”. The awards recognised the very best projects completed from across the national network of 65 production centres and were voted for by other Signs Express centres across the country. The presentation took place on 18th January at the company’s annual conference, which this year was held at the prestigious location of Twickenham Rugby Stadium.
