HHCT manages a number of longstanding health centres across Harlow — many originally built in the 1950s, including Addison House, Nuffield House, Sydenham House, Keats House and Osler House. The signage at each site was in need of an upgrade, and they wanted a clean, professional look that reflected the organisation’s values and charitable status.

We were asked to come up with a solution that brought a sense of consistency while being flexible enough to suit each building’s layout and surroundings.

To meet the brief, we proposed a modular signage system. This allowed us to customise panel sizes for each site while keeping the design and branding consistent across the board.

Each sign featured HHCT’s logo and the strapline “Promoting Health and Wellbeing”, which is familiar to the local community. The final designs were straightforward, clear and easy to read — exactly what you’d expect from a healthcare provider.

No two sites were the same. Each had different access points, terrain, and visibility needs — which made the modular system the perfect choice. We also had to make sure the work was carried out with minimal disruption to busy healthcare services, so careful planning was key.
