Staff at Whitkirk’s have chosen Help For Heroes as their Charity of the Year for 2019 so decided to decorate one of their livery on a new Mercedes tractor unit and vacuum tanker in honour of the marking the centenary of the end of World War I. ‘We were tasked with designing the graphics to show the poppies fluttering in the wind’ said Ian Dawson, Signs Express York, ‘We relished the opportunity, not only is it always great to work on something different, we are proud to help Whitkirk’s support Help For Heroes who are a fantastic charity and at such a poignant time as we all remember those who sacrificed their own lives for us to live ours today.’

In honour of those who gave their lives for us, Whitkirk’s are also running a wonderful competition for 2 people to walk n the footsteps of heroes on a Leger Battlefield tour of Remembrance and Discovery accompanied by the eminent Battlefield Historian Paul Reed.
