News
Reopening of the hospitality industry has been long awaited by the whole country, allowing hotels, bars, cafés and restaurants to get back to business and welcome customers.

The first planned milestone, from 12th April, will be the beginning of the reopening allowing the industry to serve customers outdoors only. Further restrictions will be lifted over the next few months with venues able to welcome customers inside their premises from 17th May.
What does your signage need to achieve?

ATTRACT – make sure your customers know you’re open and welcome them with open arms. Refreshing your signage will give your pub, restaurant, café, or hotel a new lease of life with a clean and fresh look which will catch the eye of customers. INFORM – with changing guidelines, keeping your customers informed of changes to your opening times, menus or the use of certain facilities will help avoid disappointment. PROTECT – many hospitality businesses have already operated under some restrictions throughout the last year so may already have COVID signage in place, be sure to update your social distancing messaging and sanitising stations so they’re clearly displayed to protect both customers and staff. GUIDE – directional and wayfinding signage is important to identify one-way systems for entrances and exits and any other areas where customers may need access to such as toilet facilities. Having a clear system will help to reduce contact between customers and also staff.
Creating a welcoming exterior space
From 12th April you can reopen your business and serve customers outside. Preparing your external space to make the most of this will be important not only to ensure the welfare of customers and staff but create a comfortable, inviting area for people to eat and drink. It may sound simple, but it’s also important to let customers know that you are open, by revamping signage or installing new solutions this will help to promote the message. Refreshing signage to create a welcoming environment will also attract new customers.
