When Calder Ltd moved into their new factory, they wanted something that would make people stop and take notice. They got in touch with our team at Signs Express (Worcester) to come up with ideas for the exterior signage.

The brief

We looked at a few concepts together, focusing on designs that would fit the building and the brand. In the end, we agreed that 3D aluminium lettering would give the best look. The finished design featured deep blue letters, each standing nearly two metres tall, creating a clean and confident finish against the building’s exterior.

Because the project needed planning permission, we handled that too — making sure it was pushed through quickly so production could start without delay. Once we got the go-ahead, we moved straight into fabrication and installation, keeping everything on track for the opening date.

The result

The new signage has real presence. It’s bold, modern, and reflects Calder’s identity perfectly. Seeing it in place on launch day made all the hard work worth it — and the feedback from the client said it all.

I requested to change a couple of bits and very quickly we had designed exactly what I was looking for. I proof checked it and got booked in for fitting. I dropped the van off in the morning and it was ready for collection in the afternoon, looking exactly how I wanted it. I highly recommend signs express, the whole process was excellent.
